The kitchen

Straight ahead from the entrance is the kitchen which is open to the
living/dining area. It is nice with a reasonable amount of space. The
fridge has six doors which we have figured out and several buttons on
the front which we have not. We do have a rice cooker and an electric
water kettle, but we do not have a dishwasher or a full sized oven, as
is typical of Japanese homes. We've had lots of good dinners cooked in
this kitchen, all Japanese because those are the easiest ingredients
to get. I declare breakfast each day to be Japanese (rice, egg, soup,
fruit) or American (toast, cereal, milk, yogurt) but both kinds in one
day is not allowed or we'd be there until lunchtime.
